Logo seems to be important for those large companies such as blue and yellow IKEA logo, the red hut of Pizza Hut, kind grandpa of KFC, clown Ronald McDonald and so on. Of course the famous logos are really impressive and they are well known to all of us. However, it doesn’t mean that great logo designs only belong to large companies.

Logo is a symbol to represent the spirits of a company, and a great logo can leave an impression as soon as people see it. We have to admit some companies becomes popular in this way, lighting eyes up and making an impression. Since then, people are reminded of the company and its brand when catching sight of the logo. Images are much more impressive than those stories and missions of the company.

I know some business owners who does logo design by themselves or with their colleagues. The advantage is they know fully of their brand and message they want to deliver to customers. However, if the person doesn’t have knowledge of designing or isn’t trained with any art course, they may not be able to create an ideal logo. Logo design can be done by anyone but in different quality, which is the difference between the great logo designs you know and those you cannot remember at all.

To be worse, a common design will not be wide spread as the famous one. People would like to share something special and unique to their friends. No one shares a logo with others and says, see, the logo design is so common. The situation of common logo designs could be even worse than ugly design, which could be a joke in design industry but also be remembered.
