Generally, there are three types of coatings available which include the Galvanized, Spectra, and the permafused. Coming to the first category, the process of galvanisation involves applying a layer or coating of zinc on the bare steel. It is considered as the most economical and highest quality solution as the galvanized wire meshes are strong and resistant to rust and corrosion.

The spectra are considered as the most common type of material for making the fencing wire mesh. It is the most pocket-friendly material coated with a cheap vinyl coating. The polyester powder is commonly used material of coating it.
Compared to all other types of coated wire mesh materials, the Permafused is the most expensive one. It is neatly coated with expensive and thick polyolefin coating for increased strength and life. Due to its features, it is usually used in various commercial applications. It is widely available in the market in a range of colours like Green, brown, black, etc.
