Assassin’s Creed: Next Addition May Be Set in Rome, Says Rumor

Assassin Creed has been on a rollercoaster ride forgone years, From initially being a stealth-oriented action series into a full action-packed RPG with romance and dialogue options.

And now a new rumor suggests that Assassin’s Creed may return to Italy, contradicting some fans who speculate that the new addition may feature Japan. Also, new in-game features may be included in the upcoming addition to the title.

A leaker with an account name Legion posted on a message board with some critical information and other key details for the title.

It is believed that the upcoming title would begin towards the ending of Marcus Aurelius reign, and reliving the scenario of the struggle of his son Commodus with the year of the 5 Emperors. This would set the title around 193 AD.

As in the past series, it is observed that Assassin Creed tries to include plenty of historical figures to their game, so the described scenario would make sense and can be true.

The said title is expected to release during 2020, so possibly we would only receive Assassin’s Creed Premastered for this year. It is also speculated that the upcoming title would feature two protagonists, one male, and another female.

Players will be able to select any gender they desire, if they opt for a male, it would be named as Cassius, and the female character would be named as Lucia. Players can go with any of the characters as they both are the descendants from the Origins and Odyssey.

Still, it is uncertain as to which character would be canon as in the past Kassandra was featured as the canon character. The post also had a blurry image which resembled the architecture of Odyssey. Many believe that this image could be edited or fake, so many speculations are underway for the picture.

This upcoming title is also expected to feature some rigorous in-game politics amongst the Assassins, and even the First Civilization would be much more intensive as far as the storyline is concerned.

The in-game map would feature mainland Italy and some parts of Gaul and Germania as playing area. It would be quite spectacular to experience the beautiful landscapes and scenery if the graphics for this title would be similar to the recent game.

Assassin’s Creed titles and games have been leaked in the past also, sometimes unwillingly and sometimes as a part of marketing strategy, so it is not unusual to experience such post, and instead, it may disclose some upcoming in-game content which gamers have never experienced before.
