Design

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with a 1.2-inch or 1.4-inch round Super AMOLED display (with customizable Always on Watch faces) and is available in three attractive colors (Cloud Silver, Aqua Black, and Pink Gold) and two different sizes (40mm and 44mm). Besides this, it features a stylish leather band, a speaker, a microphone, and two buttons.

Apple Watch SE comes with a rectangular 1.6-inch or 1.8-inch Retina LTPO OLED display and is available in three attractive colors (Silver, Gold, and Space Gray) and two different sizes (40 mm and 44mm). Besides this, it features a stylish “Solo Loop” band (a continuous strap with no buckles), a microphone, a speaker, and two buttons.

Memory and OS

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with 1 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage and is powered by Tizen-based wearable OS 4.0.

Apple Watch SE comes with 1.5 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage and is powered by watchOS 7.0.

Features

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with features like GPS, sleep tracking, heart rate monitor, running coach and analysis, fall detection, and more. It also allows its users to see and manage phone notifications directly from the watch.

Apple Watch SE comes with features like built-in GPS, NFC payments, sleep tracking, heart rate monitor, talking mode, customizable faces, ECG sensor, and more. It also allows its users to see and manage phone notifications directly from the watch.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 features a 340 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with Qi wireless charging technology.

Apple Watch SE features a non-removable Li-Ion battery with wireless charging technology.

Apps

Using the Samsung Tizen OS app store, you can download lots of apps on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 like Spotify, MyFitnessPal, etc. Similarly, Apple Watch SE also allows its users to download and install lots of apps on it like Evernote, Shazam, etc.  from the Apple App Store. However, the number of apps that are available for Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 users on the Samsung Tizen OS app store is not that big, whereas Apple App Store offers lots of apps to Apple Watch SE users.

Price

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with a price tag of $249 (for 40mm model) or $269 (for 44mm model). Similarly, Apple Watch SE comes with a price tag of $ 279 (for 40mm model) or $309 for (44mm model).

Our View

Both Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 and Apple Watch SE are phenomenal watches. But if we take a close look at all the features and specifications of both the watches, then Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 appears to be a better option than Apple Watch SE. Besides this, it is also cheaper than Apple Watch SE. So, if you are someone who is thinking of buying any of these two smartwatches, then we suggest that you should go for the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 instead of the Apple Watch SE.
