More common ones are hot flashes and sweating, tiredness, itchy vagina, insomnia, loss of appetite, hair loss, numbness in hands, and depression.
Serious side effects can be blurry eyesight, complete loss of appetite, pain in the joints of muscles, stomach ache, frequent urination, thirstiness, and red or purple spots on the skin.

Precautions:

Taking Anastrozole for pregnant women can be harmful to their babies as it can be absorbed through the skin and lungs.
Do not take Anastrozole with other estrogen-containing drugs as they can interfere with the working of Anastrozole.
Lactating mothers are not advised to take this drug because this drug might be passed on with milk to the babies.
