  3. Go to File menu and switch on Multi-user mode

Condition 2. When the Company File is Open on Host Computer

  1. Go to File Menu then click on Close Company option
  2. Try to open the company file again
  3. Back to File menu, click on Open or Restore company
  4. Open the Company file & Click on Next option
  5. Now look for your Company file
  6. Try to open the company file in Multi-user mode
  7. Check the error is resolved or not

Condition 3. When the Company file is stored in Read-only Folder

  1. Open the computer which is hosting your company file
  2. Click on the folder on which the file is saved and open it
  3. Make a right-click on the folder and open Properties option
  4. Go to Security Tab choose a user with Log-in issue then Click on Edit
  5. Allow the process by clicking on Allow, click on Apply then OK to finish

Solution 2. When the Network Data File is Corrupted

  1. Click on Start button and open Windows Explorer
  2. Search the folder which has the company file
  3. Click on company file with Network Data and QB company file extension.
  4. Change the file extension .ndold and Press Enter key from the keyboard
  5. Open QuickBooks and try to open the company file
  6. Now QuickBooks will make a copy of another network data file
  7. Restart the computer
