The life of Cricketers, Bollywood Stars and other Public figures are full of action on and off the field/screen. Passionate fans always try to take a leaf out of their favorite Cricketers’ lives. And they want to be well aware of all happenings in their lives.

Some fans are so passionate that they include their favourite players while making today's match prediction. They do that even when they are in top forms or not.

Hence, when Cricketers reveal any kind of gossip in public, fans are bound to believe everything as true.

But did you know that there have been instances when many players went on to cook up stories just to grab limelight? Yes, that’s true!

They did it to gain a few advantages best known to them. But eventually, statements given by them proved to be false and irrelevant.

Owing to these cooked up stories, many of them had to pay the price. While some had to face fan shaming, some had to serve an Official punishment.

So, how about telling you some instances when Cricketers were involved in making up stories? You may rub your eyes in disbelief that even known International players are a part of it. Let’s quickly know in this post!

  1. Dale Steyn (South Africa)

Dale Steyn had been one of the quickest and successful pacers from South Africa. However, his career has been on and off due to injury concerns. Still, many fans include him while making today's match prediction on Fantasy Cricket apps. Dale was recently in the wrong news for a statement against umpire Ian Gould. He mentioned that he had got Sachin Tendulkar out LBW in the 190s in an iconic ODI. But, Ian Gould did not raise his finger. Gould would have to go back to his hotel room post the game, and that’s what Steyn said. It left everyone in shock. Media, on the other hand, started crisscrossing if the incident was correct or fake. But the claims that the Proteas bowler had made was found to be incorrect. It was checked and found that Tendulkar was Not Out. The match in the discussion was the one in which the ‘Little Master’ became the first batsman to score a double century in ODIs. South Africa lost the ODI, which was played in Gwalior by 153 runs.

  1. Farokh Engineer (India)

Farokh Engineer was the Former Wicketkeeper of India. He was caught on the wrong side and had to lose the faith of his fans. It happened because he was found to be involved in giving out false details on multiple instances. It helped him stay in the headlines, though! The matter came to light when the young Rishabh Pant got his chance to make debut for India in 2018. Pant began his innings with a stunning six on an Adil Rashid delivery. He could not score big but played a brief knock of 24. Engineer went on to praise the wicketkeeper bat in an interview. He said that even he had a similar type of debut. He said that he has hit 3 back to back 4s on first 3 balls that he had faced. But he was cooking up a story, and this incident was far from true. Talking about records, Farokh had scored only 2 runs off his first 3 deliveries. Fans trolled him for such a fake statement. No fans would have liked to include him in today match prediction if he would have been playing these days

  1. Michael Clarke (Australia)

It is indeed surprising and shocking to see someone like Michael Clarke being included in this list! Clarke was a quality player who always had been in plans in today match prediction virtually for all fans. He said in a statement that the current Australia Team was too scared of sledging Kohli. He believed that Kangaroos did not do that thinking they may have to lose their rewarding IPL contracts. The statement did not go down well in Cricket Australia and elsewhere. Paine responded that all players try their best against India. And even during the 2018-2019 Series, nobody was going easy against Virat. Tim also said that he did not want to give importance to any such statements. The Former Australian Test Captain said that nobody thinks about IPL contracts when they are proudly representing Australia.
