A Saturated Market Happens, Why?

by Don Dousharm Entrepreneur, Publisher

I was just going through my nightly email and read 10 subject lines about Profit Siege. Before that, I would say starting at least a week ago I must have received 10 emails or better a day from about 50 or so different marketers about the same product.

Has it become so bad that everyone has become that desperate to grab a sale, that they have to saturate the market in just a week? I have always been one to jump on new and good things knowing I could buy the master resale rights to them. I know that with the right plan I can turn it into a profit.

I have become so utterly disappointed and disillusioned to see this wonderful market disintegrate. It has become ridiculous to see what once was the dominant marketing career now turn into nothing more than just another dollar store.

I was considering buying this product just to read about this new opportunity. Well, the story is; give it another week or so and I will be able to buy it for a buck. Sorry guys just offer it to the lowest bidder...

Wikipedia Says

"In economics, "market saturation" is a term used to describe a situation in which a product has become diffused (distributed) within a market the actual level of saturation can depend on consumer purchasing power; as well as competition, prices, and technology".

Look out!!! We're going for a record here. I say 20 days and this product will be done. The only thing I can say here is if you are a creator of Information Products and you know you have something unique, Please, I beg you;

  • keep the product at a fair market price.
  • Limit the marketing rights to no more than just a few.
  • Force the sale of the marketing rights, RR, MRR, PLR, to a very high price to keep the value of your product where it should be.
  • Make sure you enforce the fair market value.

If everyone gets back to doing this the Information Market will thrive once more.

Many will wait for it to be a buck!
I like your thoughts but there are to many people that are just out for themselves to be able to GO BACK!
Although it would be nice.

@-Cindy I agree Cindy but when I wrote this I was shaking my head in discuss but after thinking about it for awhile I come up with this solution. The market is changing so I had better change with it or get out all together. I decided to find something that is new and fresh and run with it where ever that may take me. I did well back in the day but now everything is changing faster than I can keep up with... Lol!

Don I like your idea that I read on another post about finding your niche'

Do what you love and you can't call it work.

Writing about what you are passionate about will come through. Your niche' is one that many others are interested in as well. Put together a self hosted blog, a facebook fan page, and a twitter account linking them together will make it easy to share. Building your list with a free report of some kind with a set of auto responder letters.... You will be your own boss and not have to worry about what you posted about... because none of that will matter. You will be doing what YOU want to do.

Hi Don,

Yes l totally agree with what you are saying that the market has gotten this bad....with click-bank offering all types of promotional material, and many other other firms like click bank......we only can come up with so many unique ideas, so that is why you will see the same product over and over only the title has changed...sad but reality

Don a lot of the problem is instant gratification. People don't want to take the time required to cultivate and build a market so they just dump products out there hoping to make a killing off of the initial dump. It's funny how many people jump on something dumped in the market place that think it is of some value. When everyone else has the same thing you have, there's nothing unique about it. You are just one of many.

Thanks Joseph and pplchery163! It's funny because I am finding value in the hundreds of old e-books that I have listed in my library. I have been looking into reviving many of the courses that are valuable even by today's standards. Actually as I go through the cd's I have found thousands and most of the authors aren't around anymore. I have been working frantically to categorize this mass library and coming up with ideas to create a valuable asset for all to share in. This whole thing has had me thinking about all those marketers that pioneered and paved the way for all of us. It's amazing how much history has been made in just a few years.. :-)
