Al's Ready2WinOnline Blog--Let's Meet Each Other

by Al Hamilton Online Marketing
This is my first Blog here on Apsense. I decided to make it more of a "get to know each other" site. I intend to offer some ideas and posts to hopefully motivate and inspire, as well as document some of my online journey, both here @ Apsense as well as out in the netlands. I welcome your comments, and if you enjoy, please reach out and connect!

Thanks for taking the time to read, and Blessings to you and yours.

Al Hamilton, Ready2WinOnline

Welcome to my blog.  I've been wondering how to start this--so I decided I'd start with what was the most life changing event in my life:

      It's January 13th, 1982. Seventy-eight people board AirFlorida's Flight90--Non-stop from Washington National Airport to West Palm Beach, Fl.  After multiple delays, the 2:10pm flight rolls for take-off at 4:01pm in the middle of a snowstorm. The plane struggles to gain speed--and then stalls 13 seconds later--hitting the 14th street bridge, killing 5 traffic-jammed commuters on it's way to  crashing into the frozen Potomac River. Millions watch on TV as 5 survivors are pulled from the wreckage. Hearts across America reach out as they watch Priscilla Tirado, the last of 5 survivors, loses her grip on the rescue helicopter's lifeline, and flounders, dazed, in the broken ice.  Lenny Skutnik, a bystander , dives into the water ahead of rescue workers on the scene, leading her to safety.

      One of the 5 survivors is Bert Hamilton, my father. Talk bout a life-changing event!  World-wide press coverage, Nancy Reagan in your hospital room, as you wonder to yourself--"Why Me?--Why am I here when so many others aren't?". What am I supposed to tell the world? We were lucky enough to have 20 more years together--and in that time, my dad focused on giving people one simple message--Do it TODAY! There are no guarantees for tomorrow...Tell the people you care about that you love them--TODAY...Make the decision to change TODAY! Choose to change a negative habit TODAY! Examine your life and do something to better yourself  TODAY!

      Maybe you've attempted to do something and failed--remember this-Failure is an event, not a person. What do you really want to do with your life? Do you want to spend it working for someone else's dreams--or YOURS? Do you want to spend your life working someone else's plan--or YOURS?  One my father's favorite quotes was from Jim Rohn--"If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much." Take charge of your life TODAY! Make a decision to improve your health TODAY! Get more knowledge to move FORWARD TODAY!

And where was God in all of this? Don't you think He had a plan for you and your father's lives?

Most certainly I do, Kukahana--and perhaps I will expand on that in the future. I wanted to try to keep this 1st post short as a brief introduction. Thank you for your time and your comment

What a wonderful story, and the moral: Do it Today!
How many of us say tomorrow, including me. I have a task list of things to do. I do accomplish one each day. Of course, I add more too. But, it is progressing.
I'm anxious to hear how God has been in your life, because I can sense He is.
Looking forward to more blogs.

A great post Al. Everybody is buzzy with tasks and rushing from one appointment to the next. And especially with on-line marketing one is never finished, there is always something more to do. So it it important to call that friend today, say sorry to some-one today and take time for your loved ones. The work will still be there tomorrow. But maybe something bad happens and your loved one or friend dies in a accident or something. You will sorry the rest of your life it you did not spend a few minutes to make that call...

@Paula
Oh how true you are. We have dear friends in our RV group Alamo Winnies (Winnebago's). They went to another state rally (Louisiana). Towards the end of the rally Jim wasn't feeling good. Diana took him to a local clinic, they immediately transferred him a heart hospital.Bottom story, pacemaker. There is a strong possibility that Jim would not make it. With prayer, Jim is now doing fine and back home. Therefore, make that call today. YES

Thanks for the comments everyone--sorry it took a bit to respond. Paula--what you said is so true...I lost a very good friend, a brother and my mom this year. I had become somewhat estranged from my brother, and wish I had managed to connect with him more before his passing. The Lord does work in His way though, and my mother's passing did at least bring us together briefly as a family, along w/ my 2 other brothers and sister. It has been rough, but the family bond is stronger than ever now through the trial.
