What Sets Me Apart

by Karen Weir Local Internet Advertising Consultant

My Answers to My Questions:

What sets you apart from the hundreds of thousands of network
marketers?

If you are going to make a living on the interent, you must set
yourself apart from the crowd. How do you accomplish that? Quite
frankly there is only one way, and that is to be yourself. The only
thing that sets you apart from others is that you are you. You are a
unique person and there is no one else like you on the planet. If you
want me to join you, I need to know you. And I can tell if you are
being real, or if you are feeding me a line. My best advice to new
network marketers is just be yourself. Now, you'll want to be the best
you that you can be because the people you'll attract will relate to
you. So, if you are not the type of person that you'd like to do
business with, work on that first. Develop you, your business will
grow right along with you.

What will you do that they won't or can't?

I will give it to you straight. I will show you what I know, and I
will help you as much as you help yourself. No squeaky wheel syndrome - if you are a whiner or a complainer you won't get my attention at all.

You will become part of a community of like minded people where you
will grow. We are all about increase. If you are not like minded, you
will leave, and that's ok. You'll find your niche. We'll remain friends.

How can I tell if you are telling me the truth? Everyone claims to be successful - how do YOU determine who is?

Due diligence. It does matter who your sponsor is, but it matters more who the team is. It is the team that makes the difference. No one person can do network marketing alone. You want to be part of a mastermind group. If someone claims to be knowledgeable in SEO, google their name. An SEO expert will certainly have many top spots for their own name. Google their name anyway. If they are relatively new, but have a good solid team, google their sponsor's name. Ask to attend a team meeting to get a feel for the climate, the morale of the team.

Personally, I stay away from people who make big claims or brag about
their income. Even if they are telling the truth, bragging is a sign of insecurity - I want a secure leader.

Do you believe that the "gurus" really are harboring secrets?

Not really. I think there are some who want us to believe that they
know secrets, but in reality they don't. They may have used strategies
that worked well for them, but that doesn't mean that those strategies will work well for everyone. I would never pay to hear the secrets. (well not again).  Most of the time when a "guru" does sell his "secrets" it is because they are outdated and no longer valuable to him - in other words, they don't work.

Are there really any "secrets"?

In my opinion there are no secrets. No secrets, but one key. The key
lies in developing yourself, being yourself, developing a successful
mindset. Putting the Law of Attraction to work in your favor is the key to success - and it is a science, not a secret.  The successful mindset is an ongoing and never ending process.  In addition to developing a successful mindset, you need to develop the skills.  This is the thing that is always left out of the e-books and training seminars.  They give you a general idea, but never really tell you EXACTLY what you need to do.  By skills I am referring to creating an advertising campaign, search engine optimization and other methods of generating traffic and building a list.

Do you really believe that you can make money without investing any?

No. There has to be an investment, even if it is a small one. This is
one misconception that needs to be addressed. You can reduce your
monetary investment by putting in time. You either have to learn how to do the marketing (including lead generation) - or you have to pay
someone to do it for you. You simply must learn the skills required to
be successful in the craft.
It is a real business. Real business requires real investment - monetary and sweat. Your returns on your investment really depends on you. Your start up costs can be very low in MLM, but nothing is free. Nothing.  Look at it this way.  If you expect to make money in a program, and the program is free, where is the money going to come from?  I'd steer clear of free programs if your desired outcome is income.

Excellent Advice Karen. It take's a lot of work to be successful, and set yourself apart from the rest of the crowd. Everyday I learn something new. Even when I make mistakes it's the fact that I tryed that counts. You learn through repetition and persistence. You need to have the desire and passion and send that out into the universe. If people see that your for real, and sincere they will be attracted to what your trying to accomplish.

I agree that you must be yourself.
I am amazed sometimes when I see the people that are making money. They maybe someone that I would never do business with but, other people like them. Unless you are a down right nasty person - some people will like you.

I do not try to please everyone! That is a big turn off. If you never have an opinion & only are a "yes, that's great, I totally agree" person I will most likely find you to be a fake.

So, when you have an educational opinion be sure to state it. As long as you can do it in a non - cruel way, then I may not agree with you but, I will at least respect that you have a belief.

That is just me!
