What should be the maximum length of title and description in Meta Tags?

I am agree with Gaurav.
Title - 59 characters with Space.
Description - 149 characters with Space.

For meta tag there is no limit.. But Google crawl max 65 character in one line for title and up to 250 character for description in 3 lines. This is the latest update. Any one can check in Google search result.

meta description maximum char is 165 char

Just write whatever you want...what shows on page results is up to you to control.

I think best Title Length of should be 60-70 and Description should optimally be between 150-160 characters. Everyone Agree or Not for this !!!
