When I was first invited over to Empire Avenue I joined because someone I know, like and trust online told me too. I had no idea what I was actually joining but he joined Apsense based on my say so, so I decided I will do the same.

Suddenly email notifications came through about people 'buying' me and I thought WTF...!!!

Turns out I was a late comer to a new social network called Empire Avenue. It is a
social stock market game and everyone has a share price. As you talk to your friends on other social networks like facebook and twitter your share price goes up.

The more people you interact with socially the higher your stocks go. You get social currency and they get to own a virtual chunk of you or your business. Your share price can climb based on your online activity and every day the people who invest in your will make money based on how active you are.

Promote your business and let people invest in that too. You can buy a chunck of your favourite celebrities and have fun with it. If you invest wisely you can be the next virtual stocks and shares millionaire! I guess what it does is increase your social influence or at least makes you look like you're somebody!
