Xiaomi has announced that it will debut the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro
smartphone in the Indian market on March 3. The company is unveiling
the smartphone at an open event at Talkatora Stadium, where it has
invited its fans as well as the media.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
is Xiaomi's first all metal smartphone. It is a pretty chubby
smartphone as it measures 8.65mm and weighs 164 grams. It is powered by
the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor which is a hexa-core chipset. In
China the phone is available in two variants; a 16GB model with 2GB RAM
and a 32GB model with 3GB RAM.
It runs MIUI 7 based on Android
Lollipop and supports dual 4G SIM cards. The handset packs a 4000mAh
battery with fast charging support that can charge up to 50 percent in 1
hour, same as the Redmi Note 3.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear
camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and two-tone flash. It
also houses a 5-megapixel front camera. It measures 150x76x8.65mm and
weighs 164 grams. For connectivity, the handset supports 4G LTE
(compatible with Indian LTE bands), Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS,
Glonass, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB.
The company, however, is yet to
announce prices for the Indian market, but another good news: xiaomi
confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi Mi5
by sending out invitations to its the Feb. 24 event. Since it is a
global launch event, the Mi5 will be also unveiled in New York and New
Delhi.
