Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro: Got budget constraints? Go for it!

 Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone giant, is best known for manufacturing budget mobile phones. Xiaomi's camera is loved by fans all over the world. Every Xiaomi device provides customization up to a very large extent. MiUI 8 comes preloaded with the recently launched Xiaomi devices. MiUI 8 is extremely smooth and fast as mentioned by fanboys of Xiaomi devices. In the near future, this company is expected to launch a new device in India named Redmi Note 3 Pro. Whether this device is the worthy successor of the king of budget smartphones Redmi Note 3 or not, let’s find out!

Launch

Redmi Note 3 Pro, as per market experts, is expected to launch on June 28th, 2017 in India. It will arrive preloaded with Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and expected to get Android 6 (Marshmallow) updates. It is a dual sim smartphone housed with two micro sims. Both the slots support 4G network with Indian bands. The best feature of this smartphone is a fingerprint sensor. It is a fast and easy way to unlock one's smartphone. Fingerprint unlocking is securer than any other unlocking methods.

Design

This smartphone is 5.5 inches long and sports a full HD display.Pixel density is 401 ppi which is very sharp and provides crisp images. The display is IPS LCD with protective glass. It is a capacitive touchscreen device, which supports 10 pointsmulti-touch. Screen to body ratio of this device is 72.98%.

Performance

This device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexacore processor at its heart. Cortex A72 dual core is clocked at 1.8 GHz and Cortex A53 quad core is clocked at 1.2 GHz. The processor has a 64-bitarchitecture, and it proves worthy because of its extremely fast performance. Graphics are powered by Adreno 510 GPU, which can handle high-endAndroid games and high-quality videos. The 16GB variant sports a 2GB RAM which can handle multi-tasking with ease. Multi-tasking on this smartphone is very smooth and accurate.

Storage

Redmi Note 3 Pro has an internal storage of 16GB, but the main drawback is it doesn't support external microSD card. For the photography and music lovers, 16GB is sufficient but for avid gamers, 16GB is much less. It is not yet confirmed whether this device will support USB-OTG.

Camera

This device has two cameras- front and rear. The rear camera is 16MP autofocus; Xiaomi is well known for capturing exceptionally elegant images. For the macro photography lovers, this device will prove to be bliss.The rear camera is accompanied by dual LED flash, which captures crisp images in low-light mode. The best thing about the rear camera is it captures images in 4K resolution. By providing 4K image shots at such lower price Xiaomi is gone put a bullet in the smartphone market. There are two settings for capturing image namely continuous shooting mode and High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode. In the settings panel, one can control ISO and select where to store the captured images i.e. Internal or external storage. Camera features include face detection, digital image stabilization, auto flash and digital focus. The rear camera shoots videos in full HD (1080 x 1920 resolution) at 30fps and HD (1280 x 720) at 120fps. The front camera is 5MP and captures best in class selfies. Selfie lovers should definitely go for this device.

Battery

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro is powered by 4000 mAh Li-polymer battery. With such huge battery capacity, this device can get your work done without being charged for 1.5-2 days. For this device, the company provides a 2A charger for fast charging of the battery. One drawback for the battery is that the battery is non-removable. Ifin case, the device gets stuck then the user has to wait for few minutes to let it resume. With this device, there is no chance of getting stuck in a process.

Network & Connectivity

This device supports 2G, 3G, and 4G connectivity. 4G connectivity on this device supports Indian bands. It also supports VoLTE which stands for Voice over LTE. Recently, some network providers have rolled over the 4G network at cheaper rates. Indian 4G users will surely be happy with this device. There is a drawback of this device because only sim 1 supports 4G and sim 2 works only on 2G and 3G. It has Wi-Fi connectivity with 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n clocked at 5GHz. The device comes pre-loaded with Bluetooth v4.0 which can give faster data transfer speeds over Bluetooth sharing. For navigation accuracy purpose, this device comes enabled with A-GPS and GLONASS.Charging and data transfer with desktop and laptop can be done with microUSB v2.0.

The best advantage of this device is it comes along with fingerprint sensor. With fingerprint sensor, one can unlock the device extremely fast.

Verdict

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro price in India is expected to be 11k. With the best in class, features provided the pricing seems fairly good. If one wants to buy a device with the latest features and has budget limitations, then this device is good to buy.
