The WordPress Digital Experience Platform (DXP), popularly known as WP Engine has recently announced that it has entered into a proper and legal agreement to take over Flywheel, which is also, a company that deals with WordPress hosting and management. The management of both the companies are of opinion that as a result of a merging of the business workflows of both the companies, the collective workforce, and the leadership will result in the strongest agency partner program in the history of WordPress. Besides, both the companies share the same customer-centric cultural values that would benefit all the start-up agencies looking forward to building up their new website on WordPress.

This takeover is the largest ever in the history of the WordPress industry. WP Digital Platform will now fuel the ideas of 120,000 agencies and brands that are spread across 150 countries. The WordPress Platform also welcomes each and every one of the 900 employees who globally serve across seven countries and the authorities are looking forward to creating more opportunities in the digital world in the years to come.

This acquisition has grabbed many eyeballs because it has given both the companies an opportunity to invest $132 million which is the annual recurring investment. However, no current changes have been allowed on the current plans, infrastructure or working process of Flywheel. As more and more public cloud are emerging the website creating platforms should work with more integrity. This acquisition ensures that a step has been taking towards the integrity of work.
