The Contribution Of Dr.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan
Teaching is the most needed thing
for every person as it shapes young minds and infuses them with knowledge.
Without our teachers, we are nothing. The world would not be a better place if
there were no teachers. It is they who take an interest in conveying their
knowledge to their students so these students can become responsible adults.
Our education system is there
because there are teachers. These individuals have expertise in specific
subjects and pass it on to the next generation. In India, the celebration of
Teacher's day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as he initiated it
while taking the oath as the president of India.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was
a man of many talents, and he had amazing qualities. He was a great philosopher
and teacher who established big things at a young age. He was selected by many
big Universities and then chosen as the president. His students liked him very
much, and he was a true inspiration for everyone. He requested that on his
birthday, all the teachers should be given respect. Since then, teacher's day
has been celebrated by all the teachers.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan also
wrote a book titled "Political Thinkers of Modern India." His book
describes the importance of teachers and education in a country. He wrote the
book by taking Democratic India as an example which was still in development.
He mentioned that teachers are important pillars of building a country and
people should respect them more. His philosophical thinking and understanding
of the teaching profession allowed him to write many great pieces.
He also inspired many great
leaders with his thinking, such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, and Dr.
Rajendra Prasad. He also developed his understanding of politics and
comprehended how the country was lacking due to some party leaders. He also
scolded them for procrastination and delinquency; he also became against the
Congress people for doing favoritism and corruption.
He was a fearless and
knowledgeable man who understood the value of a teacher and teachings. Thus he
deserves to be celebrated in the way he wanted. We can do it by celebrating all
the teachers and mentors of our life.
