Packing for any type of trip can be a challenge- it’s a boring and laborious process that often ends up being left to the very last minute. However, when it comes down to packing for a business there is a lot more at stake than simply forgetting your toothbrush and buying one at the airport. Business trips combine being able to backlight as well as packing all those business/ work essentials that will make you trip more than just a jolly holiday! Experienced business travelers will know that it is foolhardy to check your luggage in for a business trip and rather much more important to arrive at your destination knowing that your luggage is where it needs to be. Here are some of our top tips for planning a business trip to a warm destination:

Get the right bag

As we mentioned earlier, hand baggage is the way to go when going on a business trip as it means that you will not suffer having to find lost luggage and losing vital business materials in the process. Find a strong and sturdy bag of the right dimensions needed for hand-luggage (this is normally displayed clearly) and makes sure that it is the right size for your particular airline as some airlines are pickier than others!

Prepare for the sun

Tropical holidays – heck, even those that you go to during the summer months – all need to be prepared for properly when it comes to sun protection. Tropical destinations, in particular, have high levels of UV which can get your burnt which is not a good look if you are looking to meet with important clients or make an impression in a meeting. Taking the correct level of sunscreen for your skin type, a pair of sunglasses and a hat should all come top of your list when traveling to a tropical destination.

Pack for your down-time

While a business trip is designed for, well... business, which is not to say that there won’t be the opportunity for you to chill out and make the most of your time in a new destination. Something that is always important to take with you no matter where you travel is a pair of designer swimming shorts as you never know when the opportunity to go for dip will arise.

Medication

Something that you should always look at carrying with you is essential toiletries and medications that will see you through the duration of your trip. While it is true that you can buy things at the airport or when you arrive, there are certain things that you will be unable to get hold of. Pack your medication for how many days you plan on being away and then take spare tablets etc. just in case you get a delayed flight.

Consider your fabrics

While wearing a suit may be unavoidable when it comes to a business trip, there are ways in which you can avoid sweat-stains and having to go a day wearing a suit made of thick material. Taking lightweight shirts and suits of a thinner and more breathable material will save you a lot of hassle in the long run.
