Pack light          

If you are hoping to reduce costs in the same way as you are looking to save money on energy bills, as then you should start your trip by packing as lightly as possible. Keeping you bag size ideal for overhead storage means that you will be able to avoid paying for check in luggage which will save you loads in the long run.

Take the right clothes

Moving on from packing lightly, it is also worthwhile to only pack in a minimalistic way that offers you most ware for the smallest quantity of clothes. As a businessman you are likely to only need one pair of trousers and a jacket and then a couple of tops to switch up your look.

Pack your plug adaptor

Of course you can find hundreds of plug adaptors in duty free but consider if you really want to spend an astronomical amount on something that you probably have lying around at home but simply forgot to pack?

Eat and sleep right

Through eating properly and sleeping properly you will be able to save money whilst going on your business travels as it means that you will be more mindful of what you are spending and make more informed financial decisions.

Charging

Rather that spending money on charging portals at the airport of having to freak out without having extra power whilst travelling we recommend taking a spare external charger or two and fully boosting them with juice before you depart. Having your phone fully charged also means that you will save money in other ways when it comes to sending emails for example.

Eat with clients

To stop spending lots of money while you travel, try to eat with your clients as much as possible as they are likely to offer to pay for you in which case you can just accept and spare yourself spending money on lunch or dinner or drinks.

Regardless of where you travel, we always recommend that you take some time to find out as much as possible about the area in which you are travelling so that you are able to plan ahead of time how much money you need to bring. Alternatively you should organise with your boss whether you can take a company card and claim back expenses.
