Introduction

Some conditions exist in both men and women and are responsible for making an impact on their fertility. Especially talking about the female class, there is a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS. Basically, it can be identified as an endocrine or metabolic disorder and proves to be a common condition among women.

PCOS Causes

Those who want to know regarding the causes of this condition, the actual causes have been termed as unknown. However, there has been a presence of some factors by which this condition can take place. Some researchers have a prediction that heredity can be one of the reasons to promote PCOS and quite a few genes might bond to it. If a woman's mother or sister contains the presence of PCOS diagnosis, she might be having a chance to develop the same as compared to the one who doesn't have this condition. One more thing which has been linked to this condition is the presence of excess insulin. Talking about insulin, it can be understood as a hormone that is generated by the pancreas in a person's body and refers to the primary supplier of the body. When someone's body becomes opposed to the actions of insulin, there comes an increase in the levels of blood sugar with a rapid effect due to which more chances of generating insulin exist. When an occurrence of excess insulin is found, it will increase the production of androgen and a woman may have to suffer from ovulation problems.

One more reason given in the case of PCOS symptoms is the inflammation of low grade and this form of a condition is connected to the blood cells. There has been researched which stated that women suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome develop a kind of low-grade inflammation which promotes the production of androgen hormones.

Problems With PCOS

If someone suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome, there might be a presence of some health risks as well as complications that contains endometrial cancer, infertility, miscarriage, depression, premature delivery, high blood pressure, eating disorders, high blood sugar, bleeding from the uterus, and abnormalities in cholesterol levels, etc.

Types of PCOS

PCOS has been categorized into different categories. In this section, we are going to tell you about four different types of PCOS named hidden-cause PCOS, insulin-resistant PCOS, pill-induced PCOS, and inflammatory PCOS, Symptoms of PCOS.

1. Hidden-Cause PCOS

It proves to be a simpler type of PCOS and some of its causes include thyroid disease, artificial sweeteners, deficiency of iodine because ovaries need the presence of iodine, and vegetarian diet as it makes the woman zinc resistant and ovaries do have a requirement of zinc as well.

2. Insulin- Resistant PCOS

This PCOS types has been said to be the common one and can be caused due to pollution, trans fat and smoking habits. When it is found in a woman, high levels of insulin put off the progression of ovulation and trigger the ovaries to create the testosterone hormone. When there is a suspect of insulin-resistant PCOS, a woman must need to make efforts in cutting down the intake of sugar.

3. Pill-Induced PCOS

It is also counted as one of the common occurrences found in a woman and happens due to the intake of birth control pills which hold back the process of ovulation. It has also been said that most women do not experience such kinds of effects permanently and they continue to ovulate when the effects of pills are over. But remember, there can be a condition on which the woman gets unable to ovulate for months or even years after the completion of pills' effects. For that, they need to consult the problem with a specialist candidate. There can be an indication of this kind of PCOS when there are amplified levels of LH in the blood test.

4. Inflammatory PCOS

In the case of PCOS led by inflammation, the process of ovulation is prevented, a presence of imbalanced hormones can be found and androgen gets a chance to develop. There can be an existence of inflammation due to some reasons like stress, toxins of environment and inflammatory dietary like gluten. If there has been an experience of some symptoms like headaches, skin allergies, abnormal blood count, increased levels of thyroid, or the blood test reports indicate the deficiency of vitamin D, there can be a presence of inflammatory PCOS. In such cases, a woman is required to cut down her stress level and take those supplements which contain magnesium and have anti-inflammatory effects.
