What is the boiling point of vegetable oil? If you are concerned with the boiling point of your cooking oil, then you should read the complete post. Vegetable oils can be sourced from different sources. The low boiling point of vegetable oil is not friendly for high heat cooking methods. 

Cooking methods like baking, sauteing, slow cooking, or deep frying require high smoke point. The boiling point is just the previous stage of the smoke point. When a cooking fat reaches its smoke point its starts releasing harmful free radicals. It is important to check the nutritional value of the oil. Olive oil, flaxseed oil, butter and several other low smoke point cooking oils are not suitable for high temperature cooking. 

The smoke point of ghee is an important feature to discuss. Have you any idea what the smoke point of ghee is? It is actually a certain point where the ghee burns and creates smoke. The ghee that reaches its burning point at 250 °C, when it changes color. The smoke point of butter is much lower than cow ghee which is 150 °C. If you use low smoke point oils  for high temperature cooking, they will taste burnt. The smoking is evidence that it has broken down due to excessive heat.
