Image Buying a home can be expensive and nobody would welcome a situation when you have to foot the bill on unnecessary repairs and maintenance costs within a couple of months. Although home inspection is not a mandatory part of the home buying process but skipping this optional course of action can cost you big bucks in addition to the security threats that it might pose. Another benefit of home inspections right at the time of purchase is that you can withdraw from the offer of buying the house in case significant flaws are found. Here are some of the many aspects that are included in the interior inspection of a house:

Plumbing: All the faucets and showers in the house will be examined and checked for leaks and ate pressure. The visible pipes and conduits will be inspected carefully to find out how old they are, when they need to be replaced and how much a replacement would cost you. It is also the work of the home inspector to locate where is the main water shutoff valve.

Electrical: This includes an inspection of the wiring and all the electric outlets for any kind of potential fire hazards in the house. Apart from this, the inspector will check the electrical panel for safety issues and ensure that the house has functional ground fault circuit interrupters in the bathrooms, outdoors and garage to protect the residents from all kinds of electrical accidents.

Heating and cooling systems: The process also includes the inspection of your central heating and cooling system. The inspectors will determine how old the furnace and the air conditioning systems are, whether they are working properly and how soon they will need a repair or maintenance. They will look into the insulation in the house and determine whether or not there is enough insulation in the house.

Kitchen appliances: There are certain kitchen appliances that come with the house. These do not fall under the inspection process in all the cases. Enquire the Building Inspector Adelaide about the appliances that are not included in the inspection and make sure that you get them examined for safety and performance yourself.

Fire safety: If your house has an attached garage, make sure that the inspection includes the garage as well. The wall should have the right fire rating and is not damaged. The smoke detectors in the house will also be checked for proper functioning.
