All 86 contestants will compete in the swimwear and evening gown categories during the preliminary contest. Based on the contestants’ performance in the preliminary round, judges will select the top 12 for the Miss Universe 2016 pageant’s finale.

As contestants are very thrilled for the swimwear and evening gown rounds, the reigning queen is getting butterflies in her belly with the thought of giving up her crown. Through, the beauty queen had an extended reign, luckily, her fans have still not got enough of her. With this thought, the organisation has decided to make her the co host at the preliminary rounds.

The MISS UNIVERSE 2016 Preliminary competition will air LIVE this January 26th from the Philippines, at the MOA Arena.
