Vegan Foods From Around The World

by Vegan Culinary Cruises Luxury – All Inclusive – All Vegan
While staying indoors, have you ever thought to expand your vegan food repertoire? Wait, of course, you have. It’s always in the best interest of a budding home vegan chef to discover and try out new recipes. While we can’t go on culinary cruises at the moment, we can always enjoy delectable cuisine from around the world.

The demands of the vegan diet have produced a lot of meat substitutes, from vegan turkey to vegan patties. However, even before the advent of the Vegan Society, there has always been delectable vegan cuisine produced by the local cultures of the world, from Asia to Europe to the Middle East. Here are a few of them and some recipes to try for yourself.

Ratatouille (Because of Course)

Ah, Ratatouille, forever embedded in the consciousness of moviegoers because of that one Disney film set in Paris. Of course, it’s a wonderful film, so it deserves to be remembered, and the amount of detail it provides to French cooking is great. However, we’re here to talk about Ratatouille, the Provencal dish that completed the film’s last act.
Ratatouille is a traditional farmer’s meal from the Provence region of France, using homegrown vegetables like eggplants, zucchinis and tomatoes. You’ve heard that right, a fully vegan traditional French recipe. There’s plenty of ratatouille variations out there online, so here’s one that we particularly like.

Pita Bread (It’s Awesome, trust us)

There are various kinds of bread out there, from the French baguette to the German pretzel. Before the pandemic, vegan cruises could give you the option to savor these great breads. Some of these bread use eggs, but most of them are quite vegan. Pita bread is a special yeast-leavened flatbread found in the Middle East and is a versatile partner for various dishes. Seriously, try it out. There’s plenty of flatbreads out there and pita bread is one of the best. You can even use it to wrap your veggie meals!
