Unconventional Events that Happen at Malls

There was a time, when going anywhere was a full day event, families and groups first had to come to a common place to visit, and then decide what one will be doing there and etc. People also had to take into account the weather conditions as roaming around in an open market in either the heat of summers of the chill of winters was almost impossible, and just in case it rained, then the plan was simply cancelled. Or people would look for market places that had a sheltered area and not just that, but it was also important that there be a few eateries around, so that the group could have some place to sit and have something to eat. All in all, going out anywhere was full of a million little problems and was more or less a hassle of epic proportions. 

But, the introduction was malls came almost as a blessing, as for the first time, people had almost every need of their checked out all at one place. From a mall being a sheltered area, which would keep one safe from any unwanted weather conditions, to the mall having a plethora of shopping destinations, and restaurants of all kinds, to even hosting a number of different types of activities. Some of the best malls in Delhi have almost all of these things and more, and because of which they have gained immense popularity. 

There are a lot of reasons that can attribute towards the popularity of malls, one of them being that they did away with the decision making that any group had to do. Before if a group of friends wanted to visit anywhere, there would be a long and arduous process where each person would put a place to go and ultimately it would end up in a big fight. But now, malls solved almost all of those problems, whether one wants to go shopping, or wants to try out a new cuisine or just chill at a nice place with their friends, all is available to people.  

Malls also cater to food lovers, as many of them house not just the best establishments, but also ones that people had never really heard about before. One can find all kind of restaurants, domestic, international food chains, which for a foodie is almost akin to a paradise with unlimited options to choose from. 

There are also various forms of entertainment that malls have apart from just shopping or eating. One can easily find a wide range of cinemas in Saket malls with ease to see any movie one wants to. But as more and more people are frequenting malls, the owners are trying to find new and unique ways to keep visitors interested in malls. That is why a lot of these malls are nowadays, holding unconventional events that were never seen before, or at least not held that commonly. If one is wondering what kinds, then here are a few types of unusual events that one can participate at malls these days:

1. Dog Shows:

A lot of malls these days are holding a variety of dog shows that have everything from a parade for dogs, various stalls that sell almost everything imaginable that dogs might need. There are also adoption stalls at these dog shows or conventions where one can easily adopt a pet without having to search out an adoption agency. These dog shows are especially a favourite of those who have pets and are good at training them, it gives them a platform to show-off their beloved pets and let them shine. 

2. Comic Conventions:

Comic conventions are usually held at big centres which can accommodate a large amount of crowd. But these days malls or specifically establishments at malls have held such comic conventions on a small scale. This is actually a wonderful way for comic lovers to taste a bit of that convention scene that they are deprived from if they cannot afford to travel long distances or don’t have the funds at the time. Sometimes malls to partner with the establishment that is holding such a convention and will provide exciting prizes and certificates to winners and all. 

3. Scavenger Hunts:

Scavenger hunts are all the rage these days and one of the first unconventional event that was held at a mall. These types of events are held at a large scale and involve the entirety of the mall. People are given clues and then have to hunt down the next clue and the winner will win loads of expensive prizes. Almost all the stores are involved in these hunts and the participation level is the highest for this event more than any other.
