In every workplace, you’ll meet different people with varying personalities which you either end up becoming friends with, instant enemies or just an acquaintance. It’s almost impossible to like or be liked by everyone, and the one thing you can do is to compromise, adjust and adapt.

So, what’s the best thing that the management can do to maintain the peaceful atmosphere at the office? First, let’s meet the workforce and how to settle their one-of-a-kind attitude:

The Power Tripper

Often termed as “Opportunist” especially when this person was promoted or got into his or her position even with overflowing incompetence (e.i, friend of boss). What’s more irritating is when this person acts as bully, constantly shouts at small things, and does unnecessary stuff that’s not important to the productivity of the company. If not given proper attention, this person might end up becoming the reason for continuous resignation of the workforce.

What to do: As early as possible, organize a team forum or seminar. Instead letting the boss do the talk, which might even be misinterpreted by many, hire a keynote speaker and let him handle the reconstruction of team spirit.

The Go-with-the-Flow

There’s always this one person you’ll meet that does the routine. You just can’t figure out if he or she is lazy to improve, or just not that competitive at all. Although this type is not bothersome, still, lack of progress or being “directionless” is a big deal.

What to do: As the boss, you must do something to help develop the skills and abilities of your employees. If you feel like you’ve shared all your words of wisdom and still no effect, time to consider hiring a motivational speaker  on your next company team building.

The Cold Ones

The Un-passionate ones! There’s a reason why a person loses passion or determination, which we may not, or may know (you can’t force your employees to share everything about themselves, right?). Lack of passion is one of the culprits of decrease in quality output and productivity. The fact that you notice this kind of attitude means that you care enough about your employees.

What to do: Go and find an Inspirational speaker, someone that can awaken the sleeping spirits of your employees. It’s never easy to bring back the inner passion, but with professional help, expect restoration and life.

It’s never easy to become a boss, especially when you have to handle a large number of employees. At least, try to make an effort and observe the prevailing atmosphere to prevent and settle clash of attitudes around.
