To start a day and to be on the winning side throughout the day it is recommended that you should have a good healthy breakfast and never skips it. Breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day. Your breakfast should contain all the important nutrient. Therefore it is also highly recommended by the experts and doctor also. What a better way to start you day with the India vegetarian breakfast.  All over India people eat different kinds of breakfast ranging from parathas in North India to dosa and Idily in the South India.

Parathas: Parathas are mainly eaten in the North India during the start of the day. They are mainly eaten with the curd or pickle or can be eaten plain. They are a great source of energy and are easy to make. Aloo(Potato) paratha, gobhi(cauliflower)paratha, Jeera(cumin) paratha are some of the different kinds of prathas which are mainly eaten during the breakfast. They are not only great in flavor but also a great source of energy too.

Poha (Rice Crispies): Poha (rice crispies) are favorite among every India household. If you don’t like a heavy breakfast you should try this Indian breakfast. Pohas (rice crispies) are made with traditionally made with the curry leaves, turmeric and you can also add a fair amount of peanut and sugar in the dish.

Idily(steamed rice cake):  idliys are not only the gastronomical delight for many but also one of the most nutritious morning meal of the day. Mostly eaten in South India and now also favorite in other parts of the India. idlies are mostly eat with the coconut chutney in the breakfast or a hot bowl of sambhar.

Theplas: Theplas are the most favorite breakfast in Gujarat and is eaten by every household family. Traditional breakfast accompanies with the hot jalebies and fafdas. Made from wheat, with variety of theplas are available in market and they are healthy option too.

Dosa: This favorite dish once again hails from the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It can be eaten with the coconut chutney or with sambar. Dosa can be prepared with the stuffing or without the stuffing. Stuffing is generally made up of a mash potatoes and onions. It is traditional dish which is full of nutrients and loved by the people of all age.

Upma: This dish mainly from south India can be eaten as a breakfast, brunch or snacks. It is prepared with suji (semolina), lots of vegetables and spices in it. It is full of nutrients and once eaten you can go long a whole day.

Sweet Suji (semolina): This dish is opposite of Upma which is salty with plenty of vegetables and spices in it. But in sweet Suji (semolina) lots of sugar is added to it with good amount of ghee (Indian clarified butter) and later garnish with lots of dry fruits.

Dhokla: This breakfast hails from the Indian State of Gujarat and makes a great breakfast. It is made up of gram flour, suji (semolina), teaspoon of sugar, lemon, curry leaves etc. This is again a great source of nutrients one needed to start a day.

Roti: If you don’t like parathas with ghee (clarified butter) or butter you can also go for Indian form of bread known as roti. Roti is made with wheat flour simply prepare and you can have with milk or tea.

Poha (Rice Crispies): Poha (Rice Crispies): Can be mixed with milk and little amount of sugar in it and is a great way of making sweet poha(rice crispies) which is full of nutrients in it.
