The Coporate Charity Partner competition by Marler Haley
The fifth biggest and competition year yet
The work that charities do to generate revenue and awareness for their causes is crucial in today’s society. In 2011 we began celebrating difference charities with our competition. It can be difficult to find the money to do everything when you are engaging charity activities. As a result we offer the opportunity to win £300, which we spent on any accessories or equipment available through our website.
Over the last 12 months we have engaged charities through our existing clients, social media and media coverage. This year’s competition had a massive 37 entries. The entries included posts on our social channels, poems and videos from charities across a wide range of causes. Some of the winners of the competition in the past have been Pop ‘N’ Grow, Camp Nibble, the Freddie Farmer Foundation and the Orpheus Centre.
From the 37 entries this year we have whittled it down to 3
finalists.

Hope for tomorrow

The charity was launched in 2007 in Gloucester. The mission is to alleviate some of the discomfort and stress of those going through chemotherapy by providing the first mobile chemotherapy units in the world. There are now nine units around the UK, each with a capacity to treat up to 20 patients a day. If they win they will be able to increase awareness of their cause, and as a result improve the current fleet, and bring in new staff and new units.
Animal Rescue Cumbria

Ever since 1972, when this charity launched, Animal Rescue Cumbria, has been helping cats and dogs. The charity began as a result of the founders’ shock at the number of animals being put to sleep because they were without a home. A success in this competition will mean that animal rescue Cumbria can update their outdoor noticeboard, display equipment and get a new banner. The increased marketing and branding will draw more attention and help them to raise money for their cause.
Teens Unite Fighting Cancer
The charity strives to help teens who have had cancer to rebuild their confidence and self-esteem. This was an area of provision was severely lacking according to Karen Millen OBE and Debbie Pezzani. A win in this competition will allow the charity to increase awareness in many different locations.
