Thinking of volunteering for one of the many magnificent and absolutely amazing volunteering jobs for people all across the globe in Africa? Why not try for Volunteer Jobs in Johannesburg?

Statistically, Johannesburg is one of the biggest, liveliest and most vibrant cities in all of Africa. Johannesburg is also, by far one of the most intense and culturally diverse regions in the amazing, exhilarating continent of Africa. Often referred to as the “City of Gold”, Johannesburg serves as the capital of the Gauteng province. It is also considered as the industrial and economic capital of South African. However, a brief tour around this city with its downtown and the suburbs, will present to the onlooker, the powerful modern day dichotomy between the ultra-modern buildings and enterprises on one hand with the traditional selling stalls on the other hand, with the wildlife conservation on one side and the modern arts urban sector on the other.

The apartheid years have still left behind a brutal and poignant effect in their wake, for the various communities of Johannesburg present a very powerful contradiction of society. Reminders of the divide can be seen everywhere- be it in the museums that keeps reminding locals and visitors alike of how drastic changes have taken place over the years. Other such examples can be seen in the streets, as a constant reminder of the hard work and the social integration that is still needed.

While most Volunteer programs take a hand on routine, there are certain Online Volunteer Projects South Africa where one gets to interact with the locals via the internet and consequently, act a medium between the people of their own country and the Africans.
