Super cell fender is one of the main types fenders used on docks, which has a very long track record. It remains popular in many wharf projects because of its simplicity, high performance and strength. They come in a wide range of standard sizes, up to SUC2500H, and are interchangeable with many older cell fender types. Under normal conditions, supper cell marine fenders are typically fitted with fender panel to obtain a wide contact area with vessel, thereby reducing pressure against the vessel hull as much as required.
Super cell marine fenders are very popular on dock, especially medium and large dock where reaction force is an important criteria. Because of their high energy absorption and low reaction force, they are used widely on docks. According to survey, cell marine fenders offer minimum reaction per ton-meter energy absorbed among all types of fenders. So it owns a large range of application, for example: container berth, oil and gas berth, general cargo berth, ore berth, Ro-Ro berth, shipyard, bulk terminals, RoRo and cruise terminals, parallel motion systems and multi-user berth etc. Its very geometrical shape offers it shear resistance, sturdiness, complete structure and the capacity to absorb energy equally from all directions during berthing. All these advantages make it be used for off-shore docks, especially suitable for dolphin wharf. Because of its simple structure, super cell fender is easy for installation and preserving. Moreover, super cell rubber fender has the same pitch-row of bolt for installing as other rubber fenders, so it can be replaced easily when necessary. In order to reduce the surface pressure with side plate on ship, it always installed with a front panel,then the surface pressure can be controlled below 25 tons per square meter, upon request, which is very suitable fro large type vessel. On the other hand, there always be a PE pad connect with front panel to reduce friction when berthing, thus dramatically reduce the shear force of berthing. Meanwhile, its geometrical structure gives it a higher dispersity for stress, which makes it a much longer service life.
