Sponsor your parents and Grandparents to relocate to Canada

Canada is one of the rare countries which invite multiple immigrants into the country. Canada is a huge country which is economically advanced and is politically strong. Canada is today considered as one of the most successful countries. Canada has always declared that the success of the country was due to the immigration of the right personal into the country. Canada started allowing foreign skilled immigrants into the country from 1960s. Canada allows any individual who is a citizen of the country to participate in the administration of the country. This is true even for those citizens who do not have their origin in Canada. Hence, Canada Migration is one of the most sought after programs in the world.

To support families to live together, Canada has re-initiated their Parent and Grandparents program. This program has been designed to support families to live together. It requires the residents or citizens living in Canada to provide sponsorship for their parents or grandparents. With the sponsorship, the parents or grandparents can proceed to apply for permanent residency in Canada. This program was started in 2011 and has undergone many changes and modifications. Canada in the year 2020, has suggested inviting 10,000 applications under the Parent and Grandparents program. In the year 2021, Canada intends to invite 30,000 applications under this program.

The sponsor for this program will have to first submit his/her Expression of interest where he or she expresses his interest to sponsor the relocation of their parents or grandparents into Canada. This program can be applied for parents or grandparents of those who are citizens or residents of Canada and are living there.

Eligibility –

i.                     The applicant for sponsorship should be a legal resident or a citizen in Canada

ii.                   He/she should be 18 years and above

iii.                  He/she should be able to prove that they will be responsible economically for the parents or grandparents to relocate to the country

iv.                 They need to produce documents about the relationship

The applicant should first submit their expression of interest to sponsor their parents or grandparents. IRCC of Canada has declared that the application forms for sponsorship would be made available from 13^th October to 3^rd November of 2020. After thorough scrutiny of all the applications, IRCC will filter out any duplicates. Selected applications will be approved and the relevant applicants would be receiving an invitation to submit a complete application for sponsorship.

This program is available for all those who are legal permanent residents and citizens of Canada and whose parents and grandparents reside and are legal citizens of another country.

To become part of the ever growing economy of Canada, one can apply for permanent residency in Canada through there multiple programs. Canada has come up with Express Entry System to ease the filtration of applications that the immigrations receive. For the profile to be taken to the next level, the profile should receive a minimum score. The profile would be awarded a score based on the 5 to 6 factors which include age, education, experience, adaptability and language ability. Other factors that could affect the score include job offer from an employer based in Canada. Few of the most important programs that are attached to the express entry system are Canada Experience class program, Federal skills program and Federal Traders program.

Another most crucial immigration program in Canada is Provincial Nominee Program. There are 10 provinces in Canada which participate in the PNP. Each province has its own set of immigration pathways and the provinces have the right to choose the immigrants to the province. Each province provides a nomination for the chosen candidates who can then proceed to apply for permanent residency.

Although it is possible for individuals to apply for sponsorship in Canada, it is best practice to work with an immigration firm which is registered with the ICCRC, Canada; since such firms has good knowledge about the whole process and are in a position to provide the right guidance possible.
