So many opportunities...

Doing your due diligence when joining a new opportunity can take on a life of its own.  If it's an MLM of any sort then you will find post after post after post on the internet on social media, blogs, capture pages, business sites and more.

The problem is, how much do you listen to?  All companies have supporters and detractors and then there are those that are detractors of the entire industry and they don't care what company it is or how they do business.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I have learned a few things for myself.

First, I read carefully the website belonging to the business itself.  Read the terms and conditions carefully.  Read the claims.  Study the compensation plan.  Watch the videos and listen for anything that is mentioned quickly and dismissed even quicker.

Once that is done then Google the name of the company.  Don't enter {company name} scam because that will do little good.  Many companies and agents are tying the word "scam" to their postings because they know people do exactly that when doing research.  Just look at see what negative things are being said and filter them through your common sense.  Is it  legitimate beef or just someone being negative for their own reasons.

Look at who else is involved in the company.  If you are a member of sites such as APSense, IBOToolbox, Linkedin or other business related sites then you see the caliber of people who post their opportunities.  Look to see if they are the kind of people you would go into business with.

Ignore loudmouths and complainers.  Period.  Those that attack opportunities on a regular basis.  They post negative items on other people's articles and in general make a nuisance of themselves.

If you come away from these steps and still desire to join, then join.  If you post and someone berates it, ignore them or educate them but do not argue with them.  It's not worth your time.  You didn't go into business to waste your time on that, you went into business to take the proactive steps to make an income.  So get busy.
