Either big or small, we all think bathrooms are not ideal for storage. We feel bathrooms does not have enough space to hold even additional bathroom essentials. In most case bathrooms are very small in apartments, so we do not prefer to stuff things in available small spaces in bathrooms and make it look cluttered. We just have necessary essentials in bathroom and always keep additional towels, extra soaps, soap dishes, and other toiletries in other storage areas in home and not in bathroom. But there are several smart and focussed ideas that will help you keep all bath essential and additional items right inside the bathroom but without consuming much of the available space. These savvy ideas will keep you bathroom organized as well.

Use space under sink

Every bathroom will definitely have a small wash basin or sink. So you the space below it for storage. If you do not have floor space, then use wall mounted cabins that consume very little space but holds those additional toiletries. You can even use sliding drawers under the sink for easy access to the stored essentials.

Add some height

In most case we just use a single wall-mounted shelf inside the bathroom, so convert it into one or more stacked shelves to hold things. When you use stacked shelves, it is better to use wicker or plastic basket to hold toiletries on the shelf rather than keeping the bath essential itself on the shelves.

Recessed Shelf

Narrow recessed shelves that run from the floor to the ceiling can be built in any corner of the bathroom to hold dozens of toilet paper and other accessories. You can even have horizontal recessed shelves that offer perfect depth to hold soaps and shampoo bottles.

Turn step stool as storage unit

In most houses, we use step stools in bath for small children to reach the sink easily. Just turn the area beneath the stool as storage unit to hold bath toys, soaps, and shampoos.

Storage inside bath tubs

If your bathroom has a big bath tub, then why not try to add built-shelves inside the tub to hols additional towel, oversized towels and toiletries.

Concealed storage on mirror

No bathroom is complete without a mirror. Either you use a small mirror or a full length mirror, design a built-in storage shelf inside it. You can either have these shelves recessed inside the wall or protrude from the wall as a cupboard with mirror as its door.

Use the space behind door

You can use hanging door organizers behind the door to hold small toiletries, bottles and face washes.

Use wicker basket

Just select one wall of the bathroom and hang wicker baskets there one below the other to hold not-so pretty bath essentials, which you want to give a concealed storage.

Use floating shelves

Instead for free-standing shelves, go for floating shelves in any nook of the bathroom or even above the toilet basin. You can even have these as high shelves to hold cleaning supplies out of reach from children.
