Mountain Sports in India

Life today has become very fast paced. People have become like living robots working on the instructions of corporate moguls and their subordinates. The only time they get are the weekends. And mostly these weekends are spent getting intoxicated and partying which ultimately deteriorates them from the inside. This is such a slow process that one cannot even notice it until at least some years have passed. But it is not only necessary to have a break from such a stressful and unhealthy lifestyle and do something that one likes. For instance, one can go on trip to a hill station for a week or so. Another alternative which has drawn some major attention in India is experiencing some adventure sports.

Adventure sports bring in a rush of blood inside our veins and we are allowed to face some of our greatest phobias. Along with that we are indulged in a physical activity usually occurring around a place that is still nourished in the lap of nature. These kind of activities help individuals a lot in detoxifying from all the unhygienic things and negative thoughts. Also if one is planning to lose some carbs, there cannot be a more thrilling way to do so. This is because when we go to a hill station or any natural place like that, our Agni i.e. fire entity remains satisfied, which helps in lowering down the cravings for food and other things and hence one starts losing weight as more rapidly than one would do so in the city.

Some of the most famous adventure sports in India include river rafting, mountain climbing, bungee jumping, trekking, paragliding and scuba diving. All these sports basically occur in different regions of this multi-traditional subcontinent. Now one can choose their favorite sport and go for it or at least try some and develop a taste for it.  For instance one would go for mountain climbing which is not as fast paced as river rafting or bungee jumping but equally adventurous. If you are one of those who love mountains but are not fans of mountain climbing, you can opt for rappelling.

Rappelling or abseiling is basically an activity which includes climbing down the mountain using a rope and some other equipments as opposed to mountain climbing which mean an ascent to the mountain top. The climbers basically use ropes, anchors, descender for a controlled descent from the mountain, climbing harness so that the descent is comfortable enough not to cause a physical injury. Along with these one has to have helmets, boots and gloves.

Rappelling in India occurs in many places like Maharashtra, Rishikesh, Karnataka, Sikkim and many other places. There are other things people can try out if they are quite interested in mountain sports. For instance trekking in India has also become very popular. The important thing to remember here is that one needs to indulge himself into some or the other adventure sports of any such thing for that matter. This is because in this world where everything is filled with various impurities, one constantly needs to detoxify oneself.
