professional home cleaning hacks for you

Introduction

If you're like me, you don't have a ton of time to dedicate to deep cleaning. But I also don't want my house to look like a shithole! That's why I'm constantly looking for ways to cut down on the amount of time it takes me to clean and make sure everything is still in good shape when I'm done. Here are some helpful hacks that will make your home sparkle while saving you time and energy:

Start with the dishes.

You can't go wrong with a good old-fashioned sink full of suds.

But if you're the type to make it a priority to keep your dishes clean, you might want to consider giving them extra attention before you tackle anything else. Why? Because they're the most common thing in your kitchen that's likely to be dirty. Soak them in hot water (or even better, put them through the dishwasher) before tackling other surfaces—they'll look pretty while they do their part!

Sweep, vacuum or dust first.

Cleaning is easier if you do it in one room at a time. If you clean every room, you’ll just have to go back and redo the ones that aren’t quite as clean.

The best way to get your home sparkling is to sweep, vacuum or dust first. Then start cleaning any other rooms in order from top to bottom (or left side to right side). That way when something needs re-cleaning throughout your house, it will be less noticeable because everything else has already been done once!

Clean bathrooms faster.

If you want to clean your bathroom faster, here are some hacks that will help:

  • Clean the shower with a squeegee. Most people think it's just for windows and such, but they can also be used to clean off soap scum!

  • Go easy on the toilet bowl. The best way to get rid of stains from the toilet is by using baking soda and vinegar—they're both natural cleaning products. Just pour them in after you flush, let sit for an hour or so (or overnight), then scrub away!

  • Use a toothbrush for sink maintenance. You can use it to get rid of hard water stains as well as build up around the drain pipes/fixtures—just be careful not to scratch any surfaces when doing so!

  • And finally...squeegees again! This time we'll use them on mirrors since they cost more than rags and require less effort than wiping things down manually with paper towels or cloths."

Quickly clean your refrigerator.

Quickly clean your refrigerator.

  • Clean the inside of the fridge first, then move on to the shelves, top and doors.

  • Use a damp sponge or cloth to wipe down all surfaces—the backside of all shelves and door bins, too—before drying them with paper towels. If you have hard water stains that won't scrub off with soap and water alone (many people do), try this homemade citrus cleaner instead. It's gentle enough for glassware but powerful enough to tackle difficult mineral deposits on stainless steel appliances such as fridges and dishwashers.* For an extra-clean refrigerator interior: Make sure you clean underneath it regularly; the coils at the bottom often get slimy from trapped grease that isn't easily visible from above.* To sanitize your entire appliance: Fill a spray bottle filled halfway with water mixed with one tablespoon of bleach (or two tablespoons if your bottle is large). Use this mixture to spray down every surface in your fridge—including both sides of any doors—and let sit two minutes before wiping dry with paper towels

Keep your stove top sparkling clean by microwaving lemons.

  • Lemon juice is a natural degreaser, and it works just as well on your stovetop as it does on your microwave.

  • If you have a little bit of time to kill after dinner, put some lemons in the microwave for 10 minutes. Once they cool down, rub them across the top of your range; their oils will remove any leftover food particles or stains.

  • Lemons can also be used to clean other items around your kitchen: dip an old toothbrush into some lemon juice (you may want to cut up the lemon first) and scrub away at things like oven racks or dishwashers! They’re great for cleaning appliances like slow cookers too!

Choose the right cleaner for your job.

Selecting the correct cleaner for your cleaning needs is essential to getting the job done effectively. If you use harsh chemicals when you don't need to, or if you neglect to use a multi-purpose cleaner (which can be used on a variety of surfaces), then your home cleaning efforts will be less effective.

When selecting cleaners, keep in mind that some products work better with certain types of surfaces than others. For instance, glass cleaners are best used on glass surfaces; however, they're not ideal for other surfaces such as wood floors and countertops. Natural products are also an option if you want something that won't harm the environment and provides similar results as chemical-based cleaners do.

Use the dishwasher to clean non-dishwasher things.

  • Use the dishwasher to clean non-dishwasher things.

Yes, you read that right. You can put your kitchen sink, countertops and floors in a dishwasher! This is especially useful if you have hard water issues or just don’t feel like cleaning your home very often. You can also use this trick to clean your bathroom sink or even your bathtub (just make sure you don’t do that too often because it will damage the rubber seal on the bottom).

Don't forget to use vinegar as a disinfectant and deodorizer.

Vinegar is a natural disinfectant and deodorizer, making it the perfect ingredient in your cleaning arsenal. Vinegar can be used to clean many surfaces, including wood floors and countertops (use white vinegar for these surfaces), as well as glassware and bathroom fixtures. You can also use vinegar to remove soap scum from shower walls, clean windows, polish chrome faucets, and deodorize drains.

When using vinegar for cleaning purposes:

  • Mix one part water with two parts white distilled or apple cider vinegar (or combine two tablespoons of baking soda with three tablespoons of any type of vinegar). Use this mixture as a window cleaner or floor cleaner in place of other chemicals.

  • Mix equal parts white distilled or apple cider vinegar with hydrogen peroxide (one cup each) to create an effective disinfectant spray that you can use on kitchen counters or bathroom fixtures such as sinks, toilet bowls (but not seats), bathtubs/showers etcetera ...

You can keep your house clean using simple household supplies

Did you know that you can use household items to clean your home? Did you know these tricks are a great way to save money on cleaning products? You do now!

Here are the basic supplies needed for a clean-up:

  • A sponge or cloth

  • Water (for mopping and wetting down surfaces)

  • A bucket or container large enough to hold all of your supplies, including the water.

Conclusion

There you have it! These are just a few of the many cleaning hacks I’ve learned over the years. I hope that these tips will help you get a handle on the mess in your home.
