Procedure
Step 1- Create a backup of your QB Data
- Switch to Single-user mode in QuickBooks by File>Utilities>Stop hosting multi-user access.
- Tap the File option and select Back up Company.
- Click on the Create Local Backup option.
- Select Local backup in the next window and click Next.
- Tap Browse and choose a location on your hard drive to save the backup file.
- Click Save it now and then hit Next.
Importing data from QuickBooks Desktop
- Click the Company option on your QuickBooks and select Export Company file to QuickBooks Online.
- Click the Start your export option.
- Open QuickBooks Online and log in as an Admin user.
- Tap the Choose online company option and click Continue after selecting the file you want to replace or add.
- Select from Yes or No according to your QuickBooks inventory.
- Click on Agree in the text column and select Replace.
- Tap Yes, go ahead and replace the data before clicking Replace.
Importing data from Excel
- Go to the File option on your QuickBooks.
- Tap Import in the Utilities option.
- Select Excel Files and then the data type you are importing.

- Open QuickBooks Online.
- Select the Settings option on the top right of your screen.
- Click Import Data below Tools and select the data type you want to import.
