Physical Characteristics of the bully

The American bully pitbull come in different sizes which have resulted in some kennel registries registering four different sizes: standard, classic, pocket and extra large (XL).

Standard American bully is between 17 – 20 inches tall for the male and 16 – 19 inches for the female.

Classic American bully is an amendment to the standard size with both sexes having lighter body and less overall body mass. The difference between the standard and the classic American bully is only the lighter body frame and less body mass of the classic pitbull bully.

Males: 17 – 20 inches tall, female: 16 – 19 inches.

Pocket American bully is shorter than the standard American bully. Males are less than 17 inches tall and the females are less than 16 inches tall.

Extra large (XL) American bully is taller than the standard bully which is the only difference. Males stand at over 20 – 23 inches while females are over 19 – 22 inches.
