Moser Baer was founded in India in 1983. It was established in New Delhi. The company is one of the leading tech manufacturers in the world.

The company has two subsidiaries which focus on solar products. These are Moser Baer Solar Limited (MBSL) and Moser Baer Photo Voltaic Ltd(MBPV). These are involved in the solar business all over the world and in India.

These two companies are focussed on serving customers across the world in its solar business with world-class products and services. The companies were established in 2005-2007 and in this short amount of time, they have taken a dominating position.

The company produces the solar lanterns which are fast replacing the traditional kerosene lamps. The solar lamps are much more efficient and economical in comparison to its traditional counterpart. These lamps are also more environment-friendly. There are two types of solar lanterns namely SL-6D and SL-0. Both these products have many unique features. These lamps have USB port for pen drive/MP3, FM digital display, inbuilt portable FM radio, AC mains and solar charging option, reading light/ dimmer light and multi mobile charger etc.

The company also has another solar product which is called the solar home light – Mini Diy. This product is a very efficient product as it has offers good backup performance time.
