Microsoft Prohibited the Offensive Language across Xbox Live, Skype, Office, Everything

An update has been made by Microsoft to its Service Agreement, according to which the company has prohibited the use of Offensive Language to its services like Skype, Xbox Live, OneDrive and many more. This updated Microsoft Service Agreement is going to come into the effect on May 1, 2018 while it was posted on the date March 1, 2018.

Microsoft is one of the tech giants that have been working since years for offering an improved productivity suite as well as the communication ability to its individual and organizational users.

The change has been stated as CODE OF CONDUCT SECTION 13 of the updated Service Agreement of Microsoft. Under the CODE OF CONDUCT SECTION 13, the Microsoft has clarified that the content like “’nudity’, ‘bestiality’, pornography’, ‘offensive language’, ‘graphical violence’ or ‘criminal activities’” should not be shared publicly. Even the use of such contents will be considered as inappropriate.

Apart from this, if the Microsoft Office users make the use of Offensive Language or conducted any fraudulent activities on its services then, their accounts on Xbox Live, Skype or other such services will be suspended by the company. Even the forfeiture of content licenses, Xbox Gold Membership time as well as the Microsoft account balances associated with the users’ account will also be suspended by Microsoft.

Even according to the expanded point detailed over the “CODE OF CONDUCT SECTION 13”, if the Microsoft Office users violate the rules mention in the CODE OF CONDUCT SECTION 13 then, a strict action will be taken by the company against them. This strict action includes that all the company will stop providing its services to the users, stops their Microsoft account immediately and will stop delivering or retrieving of the communications like emails, file sharing or instant messages from their services.
