Luanch X431 Flashes Hyundai Sonata 2016 Airbag Module

The airbag indicator flashes on a Hyundai Sonata year 2016 after replacing the airbag module.  Launch X431 V scanner gives a ABS code and 2 SRS fault codes.

  

Airbag coding code  is required during coding progress. ACU/SRSCM coding code: combined of letters and numbers in 4 bytes. You can get the srs coding code from your vehicle manufacturer or online pincode calculator, i.e superpincodes.com by entering car make, unit type and VIN

Here we’ve got the 4-digit coding code.

In Launch X431 diagnostic system, choose Hyundai->16pin->press Airbag fault code (Event #1)->Special Function->ACU/SRSCM Variant Coding

This function is used to after the setting of ECU according to its specification when an ACU/SRSCM is replaced.
Turn ignition to ON position
Press OK button to continue.

Check for ACU/SRSCM variant coding code of the same VIN number first from vehicle manufacturer

Manually enter 4-digit ACU coding code and confirm

Launch X431 Variant Coding is completed.

After the Variant Coding process, please make sure that the ACU/SRSCM information corresponds with the rear car information.

Check the fault code

Airbag fault code 1 was successfully reset

Airbag fault code 2 was cleared as well

Reset ABS code okay

No more fault code exists.

Done.
