Disable Apps Reopening After Restart

On restarting your PC with Windows 10, all the apps would reopen by default. It might sound convenient, but this action results in major CPU hits. So, with the updated version of Windows 10, you can easily disable the apps to reopen after restarting the PC. All you have to do is navigate to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, and then switch off the option labeled “Automatically save my restartable apps when I sign out and restart them after I sign in.”

Control Over Optional Updates

It is a proven fact that Windows updates aren’t always reliable or useful. So, what if you had control over such updates? Well, the updated version of Windows 10 gives you control over feature updates, non-security updates, and driver updates. You can now choose whether you want to download the update or not. To view all the optional updates, navigate to Settings, click on Update & Security, then Windows Update followed by View optional updates.

Windows 10 update came with improvements targeted for gamers. Windows has been using DirectX API that is the graphics-focused, but the May 2020 update introduced DirectX 12 Ultimate. And this is going to be throttling for gamers. With DirectX 12 Ultimate, developers can now add flashy graphics to their games without thinking twice. Plus, it supports mesh shaders, allowing developers to render complex environments with fewer frames per second. It is expected to improve load times and provide better control over the rate of loading textures into games.
