One of the biggest and most important elections of India are on its way i.e. The UP Legislative Assembly Elections,2017 (UP Vidhan Sabha Chunav, 2017).We all know that UP consists of the maximum seats i.e. 403  in any legislative assembly of India. The biggest political parties will be trying their level best to impress the voter and win with as much majority as possible.

Samajwadi Party in the 2012 Elections, had a landslide victory with majority securing 224 seats. BSP was the first runner up with 80 seats followed by 47 seats of BJP.SP is currently the ruling party of UP with Akhilesh Yadav, son of Mulayam Singh Yadav serving as the Chief Minister Of UP. It has been 5 years now and the story is totally different from what it was in 2012. Latest political headlines in India show that the level of crime has peaked in UP. BJP and BSP are the two biggest threats for SP in UP who can put an end to their their 5 year run.Congress does not seem anywhere in the scene.

Congress is considered a party revolving around Gandhi family and they have not adapted to emerging trends in Indian politics. Ironically, the biggest political party of India, Congress does not seem a threat to any of the parties and any seat they get in the elections will be a bonus to the party. Eventhough the party is party is planning to bring Priyanka Vadra,daughter of Sonia Gandhi in politics to become the face of Congress and save dignity of the party but winning in UP will be nothing less of a dream.

 

BJP has not been in power for the last 3 assembly elections but this time.Home Minister and previously CM of UP from BJP Rajnath Singh has Even said that this time BJP will win with absolute majority in UP. Indian politics news today is we all saw how BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi broke all the records in the General Elections,2014.But will it continue in UP? It was such a humungous win that the for the first time no party was able to bring the minimum seats to make opposition and it was made with support of multiple parties.

BSP is also confident that it will come back in power with majority. Evan Opinion polls of the biggest news channels of India show that Mayawati is a clear winner in UP but her party might face a stiff competition from BJP in Purvanchal. People of UP seem happy with Narendra Modi’s work but still they believe that the power in UP should not be in hands of BJP.
