The ten-digit number is again divided into two parts. They are the first 3 and the second 7.

The first 3 digits make it specific from which Passenger Reservation System (PRS) it has been booked. Though the first digit does not speak of from which PRS it is booked, rather it explains zonal information.

The second seven digits numbers are randomly used numbers usually generated to make the PNR number only one of its kinds.
