True to its name, an octagonal blender has an octagonal shape designed to process larger volume of material. The material that is supposed to be mixed is charged in machine either from the bin or manually or the vacuum charging system. The port is then locked positively. The blender has to be set at preset blending time. The process ends when the machine is stopped and the product is put into process containers. This is done by opening the butterfly value.

The material that is loaded into the blender drum tumbles it and then spreads it out. The entire mixing process takes 5-30 minutes giving good homogeneity, also depending on type of material.
