It also has the highest peak in South India –Anamudi. Divided into two parts, Old Munnar which is well-known for tourist information and Munnar which is where guest houses and the bus station is located.
3) Get beached in Varkala: Also known as Papanasam beach, Varkala beach is well-known for being the only place in southern Kerala where cliffs can be found adjacent to the Arabian Sea. A dip in the waters of this beach is believed to wash away the sins in one’s life. There are many spas and water spouts that are located on the sides of the cliffs located here. This beach is extremely popular for swimming as well as sun-bathing.
4) Embrace Ayurveda: Possessing an unbroken tradition of Ayurveda, Kerala is extremely popular for its wide variety of Ayurvedic treatments. It is one of the 27 tiger reserves in India and one can also find other animals such as Indian bison’s, elephants, leopards and a myriad species of deer, monkeys and snakes.
