IES Cutoff 2016

UPSC conducts the exam of IES every year. It has all the rights to decide minimum qualifying marks for the exam. The whole selection process will be completed in two rounds one is written and another one is an interview. To appear in the interview round candidate has to clear written exam first. The candidate has to clear cutoff for both the phases. This exam will be conducted for the appointment of candidates in various departments Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical & Telecommunication engineering. Cutoff will vary for every department and it will be uploaded on official website. At the time of result , the IES Cutoff 2016 will be released.

Name of the exam is UPSC Engineering Service Exam and conducting body is UPSC. Date decided for the exam is 27 may of 2016. Most probably Cutoff will be released in sept.

Expected Cutoff: Approximately 500-600 selection will be done this year. If we talk about category wise Expected Cutoff for Civil will be UR 230 OBC 145 ST/SC 150, Mechanical UR 275, OBC 250 ST/SC 200, Electrical UR 310 OBC 290 ST/SC 230, Electronics and telecommunication UR 330 OBC 310 ST/SC 260.This the just expected by us, actual may vary from these. Check your score and match with the cutoff to know about your selection chances.

Previous year Cutoff: Total there are three types of cutoff like sectional, written exam and final cutoff. Section first is of 600 marks, written exam is of 1000 and final deciding cutoff will be from 1200. We are expecting higher cutoffs this year. It will definitely go high because of competition level and rising number of competent.

Look at the previous year cutoff : For Civil Engineering IES 2014 Cutoff of Section I Out of 600 marks was UR202, OBC 186, SC 156,ST 100. IES 2014 Cutoff of Written exam out of 1000 was UR 391, OBC 373, SC 315, ST 293. For IES 2014 Cutoff out of 1200 was UR572, OBC 540, SC 467, ST 453. IES 2013 Cutoff of Section I Out of 600 marks was 165, 153, 110, 102. In 2013 it was less than those cutoff of 2014.  Fort mechanical engineering cutoff was IES 2014 Cutoff of Section I Out of 600 marks, UR 279 OBC 253 ST200 SC 217. for electrical engineering Cutoff was less than the cutoff for mechanical engineering. Electronic and telecommunications result and cutoff announced on the same day it was for UR category : 657 out of 1200.
