How to Fix When Apple Watch Not Pairing?

You might know that an iPhone uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for communicating with Apple Watch. Even though the device is effective, it may face an occasional disconnection issue. The issue is certainly frustrating and if you are facing it as well, then we can help you fix it. You need to go through this blog properly to learn how to fix Apple Watch pairing issues.

Note: Apple Watch is not compatible with iPad or other Android gadgets and it needs a minimum 6/6 Plus or else the newer version.


A. Go for a reboot of your iPhone

  1. Firstly, long press on the Sleep/Wake button of your iPhone till the toggle of switch off gets displayed.
  2. Then, you need to push the toggle on the right-hand side. Observe that your iPhone device will be switched off.
  3. As soon as it completes many seconds of being switched off, you need to do a long press on the Sleep/Wake option until the symbol of Apple gets displayed.
  4. Whenever your iPhone is done with the booting process, you need to see the Apple Watch connection.

B. Go for a reboot of your Apple Watch

  1. Firstly, long-press the button on your Apple Watch just below the crown.
  2. Whenever asked, push the power off option on the right-hand side.
  3. As soon as the display gets dark for some time, press the digital crown for switching on the Apple Watch like earlier. Note that the symbol of Apple gets displayed on the screen. If not, then you need to wait for some time and press the button one more time.

C. Remove the iPhone’s Network Settings

  1. Firstly, go to the iPhone’s Settings application.
  2. Then, press on the General option.
  3. Next, move downwards and select Reset from the general settings.
  4. After that, click on Reset Network Settings. Note that you might be asked to write your passcode for verifying your request.

D. What to do if my Apple Watch still won’t pair?

On your Apple Watch:

  1. Firstly, go to the Settings application.
  2. Then, press on General.
  3. After that, click on Reset.
  4. Lastly, choose to Erase All Content and Settings.

On your iPhone:

  1. Firstly, go to your Apple Watch application.
  2. Then, select the My Watch option. It will be located at the end of the display.
  3. After that, choose your watch on the upper side of the screen.
  4. Next, press on the Information option after to the watch. It is an option having the symbol of small ”i” and will be having a circle around it.
  5. Lastly, select the Unpair Apple Watch. Press it again to give confirmation.
