By restarting the Windows Explorer

Windows Explorer is a built-in utility of Windows software that has the capability of fixing such issues in no time. Follow the steps below to fix this cursor blinking issue by using Windows Explorer:

  • At first, right-click on the Taskbar.
  • Now click on the Task Manager.
  • In Task Manager, choose Windows Explorer and right-click on it.
  • After that, select End Task and click on it.
  • Now, click on the File menu on Task Manager and then click on New Task.
  • A window will appear with a search bar after a click on New Task, type ‘explorer.exe’ in it and click on OK.

By updating mouse and keyboard drivers

Outdated mouse and keyboard drivers often cause the cursor blinking on your Windows 10 system. It is always advisable to update these mouse and keyboard drivers from time to time. If you suspect that the mouse and keyboard drivers have become outdated, then it’s best to update them without any delay. To update these drivers, follow the steps listed below:

  • Press Windows Key + X to open up the WinX menu.
  • After that, click on Device Manager.
  • Now, expand the Mice and other pointing devices.
  • Next, Right-click on each and every entry and choose Update driver option.
  • After successfully updating every entry manually under Mice and Other pointing devices, restart your PC, and you are good to go.

By disabling Biometric devices

There are compatibility issues of old Biometric devices on Windows 10 version. And there is a huge possibility that these old biometric devices are not compatible on your Windows 10 PC. If it’s the scenario, then follow the steps mentioned below to disable biometric devices on your Windows 10 PC:

  • Press Windows Key + X to open up the WinX menu.
  • After that, choose Device Manager and click on it.
  • Now, expand the biometric devices.
  • Next, choose Biometric devices option from the list and right-click on it.
  • Choose Disable option, and Biometric Devices will be disabled in no time.
