How to Fix a Corrupt PowerPoint File

  1. Tap the Window Explorer to open it. 
  2. Now search the folder which contains the PowerPoint file.
  3. Now copy the opened file and then paste it to another location that you wish.
  4. In case the file is kept inside Hard disk, transfer the file to the USB storage. In case your file is kept inside USB, then transfer it to the HD.
  5. Make a fresh file folder in the drive. Then save your file in it.
  6. Now tap the located file from the new location in which you have moved it. Try to run it from the same location.
  7. In case the file opens in the new location, it means that the older location is corrupt.

Fixing the MS PowerPoint file issue by inserting a new slide

  1. Just launch Microsoft PowerPoint and open the corrupted file that is creating issues. 
  2. Try importing new slides into your Powerpoint file.
  3. If the prompt comes and shows an error in importing the desired file, click the “Blank Presentation” button.
  4. Go to the home button and then tap on the “New Slide” tab through an arrow key indicating downward.
  5. Hit the “Reuse Slides” tab situated in the lowermost portion of your menu icon. Then a slider pane will show towards the right side of your Window. 
  6. Now hit the “Browse” button to browse a file or folder. Now select the “Browse Files” option. Then a pop-out window will show on your screen.
  7. Navigate and file location and then tap on the defective file. Then point it out by highlighting it and hit the “Open” tab.
  8. Then right-click on either side of your preview window and choose “Reuse All” tab.
  9. Now make sure that all of your files are under running status or not. Check it properly by running each slide one by one.
