by James Brandon Shop More Save More
Whether you want to dress your cute little princess for a ballet, or for any other celebration like Halloween, or dress her up for some other function or so, a tutu is definitely an ideal choice. A voluminous tutu is what you need and rather than buying it from the market, you can make it on your own at your home.

And tutu is made from tutu, the lightweight and exemplary fabric which can serve a lot of dress making and décor purposes (making tutu is though, the most famous use). Here, we are going to provide you with a complete guide on how to use tulle fabric for tutus, using no-sew method:

Steps:

1. Arrange the Materials
The first and foremost step is to define what size tutu you have to make, and how much tulle fabric you would need. The average requirement would be anywhere between 3-4 to 7-8 yards of tulle fabric depending on the child’s age.

2. Make the Waistband
As it is a no-sew tutu, so your waistband will be created using ribbon, tied around the waist. Make sure to pick the ribbon similar in hue as of tulle fabric and wrap it exactly where you want the tutu to sit.

3. Cut Strips of Tulle
If you want a fluffier tutu that you would need long strips, and if you want an intricate tutu then thin strips are ideal. Lay down the tulle material flat and cut strips in dozens of numbers.

4. Now Fold the Strips and Start Adding to the Ribbon
The next step is to fold the strips in half. This can be done all at once, or as you go around wrapping the strips adding to the ribbon. Start with the first strip. Place the folded strip over the ribbon and move it in a way that loop overlaps the ribbon, subsequently making a hacking knot that will robustly keep the tutu at its place. Afterwards, keep adding other strips. Ensure that the tail ends of the strips are pulled tight which gives proper space for adding all the strip pieces.

5. Finish Creating the Tutu
Add strips up to the point when ribbon is completely covered. Now, as you near adding all the strips to the ribbon, make sure that there is about one foot long ribbon on either end that ties up the skirt.

Now you are done creating a beautiful tutu that enhances the overall charm and personality of your little princess. Make sure that you shop for the tulle fabric from a quality and reliable wholesale fabric provider so as to gather finest material for your tutu at affordable prices.
