Ribbons are one of the most multipurpose materials around and you can use them to decorate everything from adorn invitations to dressing up hairdos.

You can also add them to your clothing and it is one of the best ways to use wholesale ribbons decoratively. With the help of ribbon, you can make your outfits fancier and more festive. Now, I’m sharing some easy ways to apply them that you can do without the help of a professional designer:

1. Ribbon Hat Band

Wearing a hat is a great way to accessorize and keep the sun off your face, but you can make your hat fancier by adding a ribbon band to it. With the help of below appended tips, you can easily add ribbon to your hat.
  • First, select the ribbon that you want to use on your hat like grosgrain ribbon and after that measure the circumference of the hat and then cut the ribbon.
  • Wrap the ribbon around your hat using hot glue to secure both ends of it at the back of the hat.
  • When ribbon band is attached to the band then take some ribbon and tie it into a bow and where you secured both ends of the band use glue to attach the bow.
  • It gives a sleek, professional and elegant look and you can also dress up your hat with any summer or springtime outfit.

2. Ribbon Shirt Tie

If you have a V-neck sweater and you want to dress it up then you can add ribbon to make it more unique and elegant. Here are some ways to add ribbon on a sweater:
  • Choose a ribbon that is soft and thick because it is easy to tie and unite. For this, you can use a solid color satin ribbon; it’s a great option for this project.
  • After that measure and cut two pieces of ribbons and turn your sweater inside out. With the help of sewing machine or needle and thread, stitch the edge of the ribbon onto one side of the sweater and leave the rest of the ribbon to hang.
  • Repeat this process with the other piece of ribbon on the other side of the sweater.
  • After that turn the sweater onto the right side and tie the ribbon into a bow and you’ve got a unique and new choice of shirt to wear.

3. Ribbon Built-in Bowtie

Do you have an old t-shirt and are you trying to wear it? You can dress it up and make it new again by adding a built-in ribbon bow tie.
  • For making it, take a t-shirt and use scissors to cut vertical slits half an inch along the neckline of the shirt.
  • After that take a thick cotton ribbon and cut a piece and for this, you can choose grosgrain, satin, velvet or any flexible cloth and thread it through the slits in the shirt and tie it into the loose bow at the center of the neckline.

These are some great ways to use ribbons as a cloth accessory. There are many ribbon’s shops where you can get ribbons for your projects and find versatile options also, like craft ribbons, wedding ribbons, and so.
